From time immemorial man has traveled the
earth by horse. With technological advances the world shrank and in this
shrinking world we take you back in time to travel by horseback in the
untouch interior of south-west Rajasthan. It is a true safari in every
sense of the term, as we do not hop from one hotel to another. The safari
team consisting of the camp team, grooms, cook and his helpers all travel
together. Camp is broken in the morning to be carried and pitched to a new
site for the evening. All meals are cooked fresh and served hot. We
attempt to create an atmosphere of a bygone era when such camps were used
for “Shikar” (hunts). The evening atmosphere around the bonfire in such
camps remains etched in memory for a long time.

For generations Siana family have maintained
their own stables and stud farm, with the result all the horses used today
are from the home stables. The tradition of breeding marwari horses
continues even today.
The horses used are marwari breed of horses
and are a perfect match for the terrain in which they are used. This breed
of horses is local to the area and is ridden unshod as the soft terrain
offers cushioning to the hoofs. Most importantly all horses are from our
own stable and hence tolerate each other very well. All horses are well
trained and the tack used is English.
